To me LinkedIn is still a way to maybe find a job one day. I don't own my own business, I'm in the ad industry. A company page with all those extra features you mention would help me as a job searcher determine if I want to go work there one day. I think that's the part you don't mention in your article and it's probably more the point for LinkedIn as a social network, no?

  When you try to communicate your message through Twitter, keep in mind how quickly the conveyor belt of Tweets moves around.
